Almost every species of Ants live in colonies underground. Way too many species to mention here.

Tarantulas live underground.

Some species of Crickets live in shallow burrows underground.

The nymphal stage of Cicadas live underground for a long time, some up to 17 years.

Many species of Mammals too, including some species of Rats, Mice, Squirrels, and other Rodents.

If you count ground level caves as underground, then you have many species of Bats.

There are also many species of Lizards and Snakes that live underground.

Some Toads live under the muddy areas near ponds or streams.

And, if you count the insects and small animals that live just under the surface mulch on the forest floor, they are too countless to mention here.
