My best friend's mother sent me a shark tooth that she found on the beach. Her and her daughter moved to Florida back in December, and when I went to visit for a month I really wanted to find one. I was really happy when they sent me one, because I didn't end up finding one.
It's a very small, grey-black (more whiteish towards the point of the tooth) tooth. It almost looks like a baby tooth. The top of the tooth (the part which would probably be in the gumline) is blackish-brown and has little chips and dents in it.
I was just curious as to what kind of shark it was. I love sharks.~ ^_^

I don't know what species, but if it is grey-black it is a fossil tooth, not a modern one. These are very common on many Florida beaches.

if the teeth is serated and jagged on the sides of the teeth it is the teeth of a baby shark that is a carnivore.it might be a tiger shark or a bull shark or a great white.
