Mealworm breeding question

Generation time depends upon temperature.Figure a minimum of six weeks at a temperature of 75 degrees or so.......
I have mealworms Im trying to breed,to feed to my lizards but can u use paper towls with some packages if Oat Meso in the paper towl? Also,How long does it take for a full generation to go through? Thx plz reply:)

Rolled oats and corn meal is a good combination. Wheat bran also works. Place cut pieces of potato on top to provide moisture. Adult beetles may need an additional dampened paper towel from time to time. Generation time depends upon temperature. Figure a minimum of six weeks at a temperature of 75 degrees or so.
