How could giant proto-planets form before the proto-solar wind swept away all the gas

Giant gaseous planets like Jupiter and Saturn have very strong magnetic fields which deflects the solar wind and prevents it from stripping them of their atmospheres, unlike Mars, which has no magnetic field and has been stripped of most of its original atmosphere.

Because they form at the same time that the central star (Sol in this case) is forming, before nucleosynthesis-***-stellar wind begins.
