Does the universe have boundaries

you got 40 miles past Pluto then take a right; you cant miss the sign that says State Boundaries, But watch out - those space police are *****.-Infinite or finite, there are no boundaries.......

Think of it like this:

Imagine the earth is a smooth ball. It is clearly finite in size but you could walk around it forever and never find a boundary.

The universe is similar although you would have to travel faster than the speed of light (which you cannot do) to be able to go all the way around it so in practice you can travel in one direction forever and never come back to where you started.

The answer to your question really depends on the actual basis for the Universe as we know it.

Simplistically put - Does the Universe have boundaries?

If Big Bang - Yes
If Steady State - Maybe

Could there be multiple universes? - Yes

Could they have been as a result of multiple "big bangs"? - Hmmmmm - Yes, but they tunnelled out :)

your definition of the universe is.... interesting. what it lacks in accuracy it makes up for in humorous content.

No, the universe doesnt have boundaries... if it "did", the then the "boundaries" would have an inside and an outside, and since "outside" is a place, that THAT would be the universe

The universe is constantly expanding. It will continue to expand until time has no meaning or time is infinite. There could be multiple universes if there are multiple dimensions.

Yep, you got 40 mile's past Pluto then take a right; you can't miss the sign that says 'State Boundaries', But watch out - those space police are *****.
