If the Earth is 6,000 years old, why can we see stars from millions of light-years away

In fact, his people didnt even know how to ask questions those scientists answer every day.The idea that the Earth is 6000 years old comes from pious speculation by a Scottish cleric who decided to add up the ages of the people mentioned in the bible -- it means nothing more.I think the important phrase in the creation story in the bible is the first sentence. The rest was to help those brickmakers get by until scientific principles provided some answers about the sequence of events.-Whats funny about that is the Bible doesnt say so.......

This is the same kind of thing, with people wanting to create a fake religion, based on the adoration of a book, rather than faith in God.

The problem is that you are confusing a book which was written to explain why a bunch of people had left their good jobs as slaves in a Egyptian brick making factory to go wander in the desert with other books that explain molecular biochemistry, quantum electrodynamics, and elementary thermodynamics.

None of those thousands of peer-reviewed theses would have helped Moses lead his people, would they? In fact, his people didn't even know how to ask questions those scientists answer every day.

What's funny about that is the Bible doesn't say so. This number comes from a treatise by Archbishop James Ussher published in 1650. Basically he added up all the "begats", and made some assumptions about generations.

There are "answers" to all of your points in the Creationist websites, but basically they're of the form "no, that's not true". Look at how calmly so many of them say "there's not a shred of evidence for evolution" here.

Let me put on my Creationist hat and lets see.
"why can we see stars from millions of light-years away" Who says the speed of light is constant?
"man-made inventions came from long before then;" No they don't.
"history and geological samples talk of human civilisations waaay before then;" Either No they Don't, or "radioactive dating methods are unreliable".
