What do we suspect would happen to a tiny black hole

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-11] [Hit: ]
Anyway, tiny black holes (i.e. primordial black holes), about the size of mountains or asteroids, are predicted to exist in our universe by Stephan Hawking.......
Is the idea of the black hole that exists in the story (n-space by larry niven) possible?

What would happen to a tiny black hole like in the N-space story?

I've read N-Space, so I must have read the Hole Man but I just don't remember it. There is another Niven story, however, titled the borderlands of Sol, in which a scientist somewhere near the Oort cloud finds a primordial black hole, which are predicted by Stephan Hawking. In that story he feeds it with more mass, albeit a hypothetical form of neutron star matter so as to prevent a tiny accretion disk from forming and frying everything around it. He also uses an ion thruster to give it an electric charge so that he can control it. Anyway, tiny black holes (i.e. primordial black holes), about the size of mountains or asteroids, are predicted to exist in our universe by Stephan Hawking. But small black holes will evaporate via Hawking radiation much faster than large black holes. Exponentially faster, so that a small black hole will eventually explode like a super atomic bomb. There have actually been some attempts to detect those as small gamma ray bursts, but with no results as yet.

his was before Hawking proposed that a Black Hole must radiate away mass/energy
at a rate in inverse proportion to the area of it's event horizon.
A Mini -Black- Hole would make an H Bomb look like a cigarrette end.

it would "evaporate"... its mass would "boil away" through Hawking radiation and thermal energy. Quite quickly.
