Why are tight junction in electrical synapes

Do you mean why are the junctions so tight in electrical synapses? If this is what you are asking, the reason is because the electrical signal travelling down the nerve is converted into a chemical signal at the junction point. This gap has to be very tight in order for the chemical signal, called a neurotransmitter, to reach the receptor on the other side of the junction.
