Definition of resolution in your own words

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-13] [Hit: ]
-It is derived from the root word resolve, and to resolve to do something you usually denotes the activity that takes place after beginning something, which is... MAINTAINING it.......
what is the definition of resolution in your own words?

-
The minimum separation at which two points can be seen as distinct from each other.

Hey! That was pretty good, huh? I didn't know I had it in me.

It is derived from the root word "resolve," and to resolve to do something you usually denotes the activity that takes place after beginning something, which is... MAINTAINING it.

So, it, in my opinion, is closely related to the word or idea of maintaining... keeping... something going, and less related to the beginning part of a goal, which is another word that is similar but, in my opinion, completely different by nuance.

It would depend massively on the context, there are many different definitions for this word, check this out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resolution

and then perhaps include your intended context
