e. lightening) and organic compounds and amino acids spontaneously formed inside the mixture. this is called the Miller-Uray experiment (you should google this!). their experiment created well over the 20 amino acids found in our bodies - which means there may have many different amino acids in the early earth, but our evolution has selected for the specific amino acids that make us most successful.......

Well so far no scientist has been able to produce life from non life, if he had it would be all over the news. The more they study cell functions, the more they realize how complex it all really is and that if just one tiny part of the structure of the cell does not build in the right sequence, the cell falls apart. Things they thought were simple or had no function actually are very complex in their job.

So the idea of it all being a simple process of life evolving still escapes all science. They are decades away from being able to explain how life came to be.

the limitation of pasteurs experiment was that im pretty sure he only let the "nutrient rich" flask/jar sit for a few days - not millions on years like the earth. also whatever he used as a "nutrient rich" environment (wasnt it some food or plants or something??) was certainly not similar to the conditions of our planet when biogenesis must have occurred. also, i dont know if you have heard about the fact that scientists have in fact recreated the methane/CO2 rich environment of the early earth, added heat and electricity (i.e. lightening) and "organic compounds" and amino acids spontaneously formed inside the mixture. this is called the Miller-Uray experiment (you should google this!). their experiment created well over the 20 amino acids found in our bodies - which means there may have many different amino acids in the early earth, but our evolution has selected for the specific amino acids that make us most successful. i find the subject of the origin of DNA/cellular structure a fascinating topic. the theory of abiogenesis is impossible to understand without a basic knowledge of chemistry and biology, which I think you have... so you totally have to check out this youtube video that I love - its the very best explanation of how it is possible for DNA and cell walls to have formed randomly and by accident, following the laws of biochemistry, and propelled by ocean currents. check it out! it will answer all your questions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6QYDdgP9…
