Dont mind if it is though, but someone explain what exactly they did in their course life please, does it contain automotive aspects too?. And this is beneficial for motorsports engineering right? PS Im a Formula 1 fan and a pistonhead.......
You see I'm interested doing BTEC L3 Engineering, and I know we are going to learn about pneumatics and hydraulics and mentioned electrical technology. Is this course is more physics based and mathy stuff? Don't mind if it is though, but someone explain what exactly they did in their course life please, does it contain automotive aspects too?. And this is beneficial for motorsports engineering right? PS I'm a Formula 1 fan and a pistonhead. ;)

I'm in my first year of L3 engineering, there is a lot of theory in it and if you have already got you PEO (performing engineering operations) certificate then you don't get to do any practical.

A few friends of mine have just finished their second year and from what I can tell it's pretty hard going on the maths/principles side of things.

If you're interested in motorsports maybe you should consider an automotive engineering course for a more specialized curriculum rather than a general one.

Hope I helped.

Edit; I went through a sixth form college and got AS levels in maths and physics and moved into a different college to study level 2 engineering and I didn't cover any automotive related stuff, not 100% if all colleges are uniform in their teaching though, the level 2 course got tweaked a bit so the students doing it now get to weld on top of other things, but I still hold that you should consider a more specialized course.
