i know how the valves work and the heartbeat and all that i just don't get how the blood affects the valves action

yes confused i am

The heart works on a two step contraction where the atrium contract pushing blood through the valves into another chamber and then the second contraction would cause the open one way valves to force close and force the other ventricular valves to open and blood would then travel out either the pulmonary valve in one ventricle and the aorta in the other. The atrium would fill due to lowered pressure plus normal flow and the process would repeat

I'm not sure how helpful that is, but given the vague nature of the question think of it in a mechanical valve system
