All over the body. Every cell in all tissues and organs needs oxygen and nutrients and needs to give off its waste products before they poison it. We have a vascular system that would extend from here to the moon and back, so extensive is the need for blood to be able to service all of the cells of the body. The heart itself needs extensive oxygen because it beats constantly. We sometimes forget that, but the heart is richly vascular for this reason.
The bottom line is that the circulatory system, through an enormous system of capillaries, reaches all the cells of the body, so cellular respiration and circulation happen all over the body, at all times.
