Calculating changed gas pressure

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-29] [Hit: ]
......
An aerosol can has a gas pressure of 147 kPa at 293 K. Calculate the pressure when the can is heated to 559 K.

-
Use Charles' Law

P1/V1 = P2/V2

147 / 293 = P2 / 559 Cross multiply and divide to get

P2 = 280 kPa
