I need some help on my chemistry review packet for my test that is coming up. i need all the help i can get.

pH = -log[H]

Where [H] is the hydrogen ion concentration.

Since HCl is monoprotic, it can only give up one hydrogen ion, therefore we can use the given concentrations.

pH = -log[1M] = 0

pH = -log[0.001M] = 3
