What is the balanced equation for the dissociation of CuCl2 in water

the water of the solution is not shown in the equation nor is the water of hydration (in CuCl2 case, it is 2H2O,......
I think the answer would be, CuCl2 · H20 → Cu[2+] + 2Cl[-]. Does this look right? Did I miss anything?

CuCl2(s) ---> Cu^2+(aq) + 2Cl^-(aq)

Generally speaking, the water of the solution is not shown in the equation nor is the water of hydration (in CuCl2 case, it is 2H2O, IIRC)
