Why does CH3NH2 have a higher melting point than CH3I?

-
CH3NH2 exhibits hydrogen bonding which is not found in CH3I.

-
Hydrogen bonding is almost always the answer to these types of question.
It doesn't work in this case because Methyl amine melts at a LOWER temperature.
