What does it mean to 'look at Gases move at an atomic level'

My teacher said we will look at a gas move at atomic level...what does that mean?

it's not literal since an atom is way too small to see with the naked eye. what is meant by this statement is that you will look at gases and how they move as atoms and not as a blob of gas that moves through the air. this means that you will be studying the kinetic molecular theory of gases and how they act as ideal and/or real gases
