The culprit for un preserved anti dunes could be water in streams increasing thus a change in bed forms and washing of the anti dunes. In conclusion this may, along with rain and other weather, ring true for the sand and mud that has risen temporarily.......
also why are anti dunes rarely seen preserved? and lastly mud cracks are frequently preserved as raised pentagonal packs of sand. why is the mud so rarely preserved?

Perhaps Fauna, ie, creatures are constantly burrowing therefore preserving their home to consume near bye flora and or other creatures. In some locations where the fauna gather in close proximity to flora this is called biota. The culprit for un preserved anti dunes could be water in streams increasing thus a change in bed forms and washing of the anti dunes. In conclusion this may, along with rain and other weather, ring true for the sand and mud that has risen temporarily.
