What does latched mean in relation to the d flip-flop chip

-Latched means, output will be latched to its current state even you remove the input. If for example output is 1 then you can remove or switch the input but output will stay latched to its previous state until its input as well as its gate or clock signal also changes state.There are plenty of articles available on the internet.......
