One bulb two switches help

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 13-02-20] [Hit: ]
Each switch can be up or down. If both are up or both are down, the circuit is complete and the lamp will light. If one switch is up and the other down, the circuit is incomplete and the lamp will not light. This is how stair lights can be controlled at the top and at the bottom.......
How would this work? Any links or explanations would be a huge help. I'm only 14 so try to explain it in like a simple circuit

You need a battery, bulb,wire & 2 light switches with common (c), 1 & 2 written on them.
Positive of battery to c of switch 1, negative of battery to one side of light bulb,
1 to 1 & 2 to 2 connected with wire between the two switches.
Other side of light bulb goes to c of switch 2.
