I am considering either super glue or something more for a project i am doing and i need whatever the strongest stuff is?
i will not be too specific as to what my project is as that is not at all necessary but what i will say is that it requires me bonding together something to wood and what i am trying to bond to the wood in question is made of hard plastic and is am object of sorts and the wooden object in question is a shelf with 2...

Jim Moor say: E6000 is the best glue for multiple materials. You can bond almost anything to anything.

But realize that you might need to rough up the plastic.

I would suggest the small tubes.

Maybe it's just me say: There are a few variables to consider. Surface conditions, materials and geometry are your three most important variables to consider.need more information on these variables for a good recommendation.

wereq say: either gorilla glue or wood glue. I'm betting wood glue.

Philomel say: Super glue and gorilla glue are cyanoA cement which is brittle. JB Weld wood glue is an epoxy and will bond the parts in 6 minutes. It depends on the plastic whether it will bond or not. It will bond best if the surfaces are a little rough. Spread epoxy on both surfaces well then bond them with a small dob of epoxy pressing them together firmly. It is a compliant bond and will not fracture but can be scraped off if desired after it cures. It is a soft bond. JB weld Liquid steel is a very hard bond and must be chipped off. Both are epoxy and not expensive.

mike1942-f say: The glue has to depend on the plastic - some plastics are very hard to glue down. You would probably have to test. Both Superglue and Gorilla Glue are intended for very specific conditions of use and you had better read up on what must be done for them to work right and be strong and then test with the plastic you have in mind.
