I was born in Belgium, but moved to Canada at age 4. I grew up to adulthood there but had the chance to go back to my native Belgium from time to time thanks to my parents saving and scraping and making it possible once every three years.
When I had the opportunity, I traveled the world and got a chance to work in Switzerland (Geneva and Zurich) for 5 years.
So, when this question comes up, I answer: From Canada. I've seen the rest of the world (including the USA) and there are things I like about each and every country I've visited, but Canada is my home and I am also proud and privileged to be a citizen of this great (geographically and humanely) country. It's cold in the winter and hot in the summer, but I'm managing just fine despite that.
Ah, and I do love very much central New Hampshire. It's a beautiful part of the USA and my favorite place in the world after Canada (yeah, sorry Switzerland, it's true, you're not #1 spot outside Canada).
