Why are people from Switzerland named after a cheese

I mean what is switzerland and Swiss not Switzerlandian

In your native language, the country is called Switzerland. In other languages, it is called something else:
Suiza (Spanish)
Die Schweiz (German)
Suissa (French)
Svizzera (Italian)
The last three are the names the Swiss people themselves use, as it is a triple language country, as well as most using English for international business.
