With the information below, i have to make two equations so i can solve them to find out the awnser using substitution or elimination. How do i solve this?

When Judy worked 8 hours and Ben worked 10 hours, thier combined pay was 80$. When Judy worked 9 hours and Ben worked 6, thier combined pay was 69$. What was the hourly rate of pay for each?

let x = judy's hourly pay
let y = ben's hourly pay

8x + 10y = 80
9x + 6y = 69

-6(8x + 10y = 80)
10(9x + 6y = 69)

-48x - 60y = -480
90x + 60y = 690

42x = 210
x = 5
y = 4

Judy's Hourly pay rate = $5
Ben's Hourly pay rate = $4
