5 * 0.0001 m^2=0.00015 m^2 length :6 cm = 0.06 m ***volume = 0.06 * 0.00015 m^2 = 9 *10^-6 m^3***density = mass/ volume therefore,......
****this time is minutes is 500/60 = 8 1/3 minutes*****

2. the volume of the rod, V = length * area
area = 1.5 cm^2
u need to convert cm^2 to m^2 (since the answer needs to be in m^3):
1 cm = 10^-2 m
1 cm^2 = (10^-2)^2 m^2
1 cm^2 = 10^-4 m^2 = 0.0001 m^2
1.5 cm^2 = 1.5 * 0.0001 m^2 = 0.00015 m^2
length :
6 cm = 0.06 m
***volume = 0.06 * 0.00015 m^2 = 9 *10^-6 m^3***

density = mass/ volume
therefore, mass = density * volume
but density = 2700 * 10^3 = 2700000 = 2.7 * 10^6
***mass = (2.7 * 10^6) * (9*10^-6) = 24.3 g = 0.0243 Kg***

3. R = (p * l)/a
R = 2.53 *10^-3 ohms = 0.00253 ohms
also, area, a = pi * r^2, where pi = 3.142, and r = radius of wire
a = 3,142 * 0.001 * 0.001 = 3.142 * 10^-6 m^2 = 0.000003142 m^2
from this equation u get p = (R * a) / l
***=(0.00253 * 0.000003142)/0.5 = 1.59 * 10^-8 Ωm***

4. first lets convert each quantity to metric system:
weight: 12 stones 5 pounds = (12 * 14) + ( 5 pounds) = 173 pounds = 173/2.2 = 78.64 kg
height = 5 feet 10 inches = ( 5 * 12 ) + 10 inches = 70 inches = 70 * 2.54 cm = 177.8 cm = 1.778m

now for the BMI:
***BMI = 78.64 / ( 1.778^2) =24.88 kg-m^-2***

5. N:H
6:1.3
therefore 4.3: x, where x is the mass we calculating.

therefore, (6/4.3) = (1.3/x)
1.4 = 1.3/x
x = 1.3/1.4 = 0.93
***Mass of Hydrogen = 0.93 g***

6. To calculate the volume:
density = mass/volume
***volume = mass/ density = 0.8 Kg/ 13.55 g-cm^-2= 800g/13.55g-cm^-2 = 59.04 cm^2***

To calculate height of container:
V = pi * r^2 * h
***therefore h = V/ (pi*r^2) = 59.04 cm^2 / (3.142 * 2 * 2) = 4.70 cm***

Eg prob:
1km=1000m
60s=1min

1(1.5)(108)km*(3.0)(108)m/s*(60)s/min*(1…

think about conversion factors,and if you don't know them of the top of your head use a search engine, google,yahoo,bing.
