Collect all terms in one side,
x^2 + x - 2 = (x+2)(x-1) = 0
x = -2, 1

-x^2 - x + 2 = 0 (Multiply by -1)
x^2 + x - 2 = 0 (Factor this or use quadratic formula.)
(x+2)(x-1)=0
x = -2 or x = 1

you have to use the quadratic thing.
so change the problem to:
-1(x^2 + x + 2) = 0
-1 (x-1) (x+2) =0
Then x= 2 answers, forget the -1

2-x^2-x = 0
-x^2-x+2 = 0
-(x^2+x-2) = 0
x^2+x-2 = 0/-1
x^2+x-2 = 0
(x+2)(x-1) = 0
(x+2)=0 or (x-1)=0

x+2 = 0
x = 0-2
x = -2

x-1 = 0
x = 0+1
x = 1

x=-2 or x=1
