Help with a math problem please

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-18] [Hit: ]
I think maybe you didnt type the problem right?right side is -9 and left side is +9 so it is not a solution either.But 4>-5 and x has to be less than -5. So there is no solution.Theres no solution, because absolute value always positive.......
l18-9xl=-27-3x+21>9
Please put steps.
l=absolute value

-
There are two parts to solve:
|18 - 9x| = -27 - 3x + 21
I think there may be 0 or 1 or 2 solutions. Then they also have to satisfy
-27 -3x + 21 > 9
which you can determine by plugging them in.

I think maybe you didn't type the problem right?

-27 + 21 = -6 so that is an important step

18 - 9x = -3x - 6 solve that and the right side must be greater than zero
9x - 18 = -3x - 6 also solve that and the right side must be greater than zero here too

24 = 6x so x=4
right side is -18 so there is no solution

12x = 12
x=1
right side is -9 and left side is +9 so it is not a solution either.

l18-9xl=-27-3x+21>9

l9(2-x)l= -6-3x>9

9l(2-x)l= -6-3x>9

3|2-x| = -2-x >3

-2-x> 3 means that 2+x<-3
(by multiplying both sides by -1 and flipping the sign)

2+x<-3 ==> x<-5

Since x<-5, so x<2 and therefore |2-x| = 2-x

3|2-x| = -2-x
3(2-x) = -2-x
6 - 3x = -2-x
2x = 8
x= 4

But 4>-5 and x has to be less than -5. So there is no solution.

-
I assume:
l18-9xl = - 27
There's no solution, because absolute value always positive.

-3x + 21 > 9
-3x > - 12
x < 4
