or simply 4 + x, as the (3 - 2) simplifies to 1.......
(x-4)x
-3(x+4)
(x-1)(-9x)
3-2(4+x)

-
1. x^2-4x
2. -3x-12
3. -9x^2+9x
4. 3-8-2x
-5-2x

I'm guessing you are young... This is one of those things in math that never goes away. I almost feel bad for spoonfeeding the answers, this is something you really need to learn.

The distributive property states that a sum multiplied by any value is equal to the sum of that value multiplied by each portion of the sum. This means that (x+y) * z = zx + zy.

Multiplying each of these out, (x - 4)x would become x^2 - 4x, -3(x + 4) would become -3x - 12, (x - 1)(-9x) would become -9x^2 + 9, and 3 - 2(4 + x) would become either 3 - 8 + 2 x = 2x - 5, or, if you meant for the 3 - 2 to be in parentheses, it would become 12 + 3x - 8 - 2x, or simply 4 + x, as the (3 - 2) simplifies to 1.
