it is = 42. So each should have 42 only. Hence taking out 6 from Ana, she will have 42 and adding this with Jane she will have 42.-Ana-48 Jane-36Ana has 48-36=12 more apples than JaneAna gives 2 apples to Jane- Ana=46 Jane=38Ana gives 2 more apples to Jane- Ana=44 Jane=40Ana gives 2 more apple to Jabe Ana=42 Jane=42Ana gave 6 apples in total to Jane and now both have equal number of apples!Problem solved!......

Adding both it is 84; dividing by 2, it is = 42. So each should have 42 only. Hence taking out 6 from Ana, she will have 42 and adding this with Jane she will have 42.

Ana-48 Jane-36
Ana has 48-36=12 more apples than Jane

Ana gives 2 apples to Jane- Ana=46 Jane=38
Ana gives 2 more apples to Jane- Ana=44 Jane=40
Ana gives 2 more apple to Jabe Ana=42 Jane=42
Ana gave 6 apples in total to Jane and now both have equal number of apples!
Problem solved! Tell him that you'll teach him the easy way after later on...

Add both numbers and try to ask them to split the number into two. Or use equipment around the house equilelant to the number you've added and ask them to split it between yourself and them. That should be easier :) after that you ask the person to take away 36 of their own equipment and ask them how many they have left. That should give you your answer!

No. Apples Ana Has, A = 48
No. Apples Jane Has, J = 36
Same No. of Apples = S
Total No. of Apples = T
No. Apples Ana Must Give Jane = n

T = A + J
T = 48 + 36
T = 84

S = T / 2
S = 84 / 2
S = 42

n = A - S
n = 48 - 42
n = 6

Ana must give Jane 6 apples.

If you add together 48 + 36 = 84

Then divide by 2....

84 / 2 = 42

So, they should have 42 apples each.

If Ana gives 6 apples to Jane.( 48 - 42 = 6 )

Then, Jane has 36 + 6 = 42.

Ana gives Jane 6 apples.

Ana has 48 apples, and Jane has 36 apples.
Ana has to give to Jane 48 -- (48+36)/2 = 48 -- 42 = 6 apples so that they will have the same amount of apples?"

-
48-x=36+x
x=(48+36)/2=42

-
48-x=36+x
2x=48-36
x=12/2=6
