Problem:

The data in the table shows the cost of renting a bicycle by the hour, including a deposit.

Renting a bicycle:
Hours (h).....Cost in dollars (c)
2.......................15
5.......................30
8.......................45

If hours, h, we're graphed on the HORIZONTAL axis and cost, c, we're graphed on the VERTICLE axis, what would the equation of the line that fits the data?

Answer choices:
A) c = 5h
B) c = 1/5h+5
C) c = 5h+5
D) c = 5h-5

This is what I have so far:
The hours is +3, and the cost is +15. I know that that has something to do with the answer, but I forgot what to do with them.

Help ASAP please!

To figure out which equation you can easily just test out the equations, put 2 in to replace the h in the equation then see if you get the actual cost that is in chart
eg. A) c = 5h
c = 5 (2)
= 10
But your chart says at 2 hours cost is 15 therefore it's not A

For C) c = 5 (2) + 5
= 30
which you can see in your chart matches up
so your answer is C

So.... for every hour the cost rises 5 dollars. At one hour rental the cost would be 5 dollars.
15h/$3=5$/h
Therefore, the equation would be c=5h (5$ times the number of hours(h))

PS: I know I am right

equation: y=5x+5
so c)
