x1 + x2 - x3 + x4 = - 4
x1 - x2 + x3 + x4 = 2

Plz explain step by step

In first equation:
x1 = -x2 - x3 - x4

then we substitute that in second equation
(-x2 -x3 -x4) + x2 + x3 - x4 = 4
-2 * x4 = 4
x4 = -2

We go to the third
(-x2 -x3 -x4) + x2 - x3 +x4 = -4
-2 * x3 = -4
x3 = 2

Then the last equation
(-x2 -x3 -x4) -x2 +x3 +x4 = 2
-2 * x2 = 2
x2 = -1

x1 = 1 - 2 +2
x1 = 1

Subtract
2) x1 + x2 + x3 - x4 = 4
