2. Simplify (27x^4y^6 - 15x^5y^5)/3x^2y^3

3. Solve. 2x-30% of x is 51

3(3x-1)=4(2x+3) multiply each side by 4 and 3 to get rid of denominator
9x-3=8x+12 distribute
x=15 combine like terms

3x^4y^5(9y-5x)/3x^2y^3 factor out like terms
x^2y^2(9y-5x) cancel

2x-.3x=51 change the percent to a decimal
1.7x=51 combine like terms
x=30

9x-3=8x+12
x=15

2. are you sure the 4y is supposed to be power of x?

3. 2x-0.3(x)=51
1.7x=51
x=30
