Stats: sign test, how to write a conclusion

in your scenario you accept the null hypothesis of no statistically significant difference (which is not the same as no difference at all). The actual values and their position to the median is of no concern at this point as their impact has helped derive the outcome of the hypothesis test.......
My P-value is greater than sig level thus i accepted the null hypothesis that there is no difference. however there are 2 scores below, 1 equal to and 7 above the median, is this important to look at? Because if there was 'no difference' shouldn't there be 5 scores above and 5 below the median??

In a significance test you are only looking to the p-value to determine your conclusion. Thus, in your scenario you accept the null hypothesis of no statistically significant difference (which is not the same as no difference at all). The actual values and their position to the median is of no concern at this point as their impact has helped derive the outcome of the hypothesis test.
