find the equation of the LOCUS of P.-x^2 + y^2 =1 Is the locus of all points that area constant distance 1 from the origin. Since the distance from the origin is a constant r =1,this is half way to a point 2 units from the origin.for a circle with radius 2. the equation will be x^2 + y^2 = 4.......
point P(x,y) moves so that the midpoint b/w P and the origin is always a point on the circle x^2
+ y^2 = 1. find the equation of the LOCUS of P.

x^2 + y^2 =1 Is the locus of all points that are a constant distance 1 from the origin. Since the distance from the origin is a constant r =1, this is half way to a point 2 units from the origin.
for a circle with radius 2. the equation will be x^2 + y^2 = 4.
