3*4*1.18 cubic yards of concrete.6 inches = 1/2 foot = 0.So Volume = 3*4* 0.166667 = 2.000004 ~ 2 cubic yards.......
I'm studying for an exam, and I'm trying to refresh my math skills. Please show me step by step and explain everything. Thanks

How many cubic yards of concrete are needed to make a cement floor that is 9 feet by 12 feet and 6 inches thick?

-
This is a problem to find volume.
First convert all numbers into yards:
9 feet = 3 yards
12 feet = 4 yards
6 inches = 1/2 foot = 1.5 yards
Now multiply everything together:
3*4*1.5 = 18
18 cubic yards of concrete.

-
9 feet = 3 yards
12 feet = 4 yards
6 inches = 1/2 foot = 0.166667 yards (Since 3 feet = 1 yard)
So Volume = 3*4* 0.166667 = 2.000004 ~ 2 cubic yards.
