How to find the domain, range, and period of a trig function

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-11-19] [Hit: ]
....( - oo,.......
the function is f(x) = tan(2x)

How do I find the domain, range, and period of it?

-
easiest is the RANGE.......( - oo , + oo )

PERIOD of tan(X) is pi
........for tan(2X) divide pi by coefficient of X

Period is pi / 2

DOMAIN is { ... U (-5pi/4 , -3pi/4) U (-3pi/4 , -pi/4) U (-pi/4 , pi/4) U (pi/4 , 3pi/4) ,
..................................... (3pi/4 , 5pi/4) U ... }

OR Domian = All Real Numbers except k*pi/4 where k is an Integer.
