Why should we not be? I mean, viruses invade cells and replicate themselves with the machinery already in place in the cell. We're cell-based organisms. Anything that is based on cells is vulnerable to viruses. Why should humans be an exception?

oh boy! Who told you this?havent you heard of rabies infected dogs,bats,horses?the same infects human. Viruses show no partiality:)some infect the dead /corpse.
