I was recently diagnosed with bipolar 1 but I think its total bs. These so called doctors just want to fit you into categories so they can feel like they did their job while giving high fives to their pharmaceutical buddies....IMHFO!!!

Bipolar IS a real disease.
The diseases that are real BS are fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and ADD.
Now THOSE people are drug seeking losers!!!
But bipolar?
That's REAL.
I work in the ER, and 90% of the people we have to strap down and drug because they went off their drugs and went CRAZY????
BIPOLAR people.

It is a very real disorder, causing frequent, unpredictable mood swings and a very thin line between joy and anger. It is not bull, and many people who have it will agree. Oddly enough, I don't. It can be caused genetically or by a physiological condition of certain brain circuits being abnormal

Bi-polar is generally more obvious to the people who have to deal with the bi-polar person than the person with the diagnosis. And it's for real. You should be glad their are pharmaceuticals to deal with it.

yes it is
