Why should I donate blood

It doesn't save a life, but only extends it. What reason is there to donate blood?

If you don't want to do it to help others that need it, then donate for your personal health, it is healthy for people to lose some blood every month. As a male, donating blood will help you get rid of iron that's in your body. Too much iron can cause serious health risks down the road. Since women lose blood naturally, its not as big of an issue for them.
