Ok, i'm an agnostic as i'm only young. Apparently it's 'judgement day' on May 21st, this Saturday? What it it? I've been told it's when Jesus returns to guide the people who believe in God to heaven, and the people who are unsure or don't believe to hell? And on the 21st of October 2011 the world will end because of fire? But what about 2012, when the world is supposed to end then?! Really confused, as it was supposed to end in 2000 aswell? Please answer as much as you know!

I myself am not necessarily old, im about 17 years old and after a few years of suffering from stress disorders due to end-world theories, i manned up and thought it though. Dont get me wrong, im not a nonbeliever in God, I love Him very much!
So this is what i have concluded:
1) In many of the verses of the Bible, there has not been a set date for judgement day, and for a mere mortal like us, to come up with such a day could be labelled as blasphemy. There are hints, but the Bible is like law, it can be interperated in many different ways. For example, some of the events listed, like natural disasters are bound to happen. God even said through John i think?, that the day of judgement (or Rapancy), can come anyday. Its like a pop quiz, there is no point in making it a pop quiz if you already know about it, then people could act all goody two shoes.
2)attention- Many end world theories are not factual. They are capitalist feats that are used to generate loads of money. Like come on, do you really think people would be caring about money if you say the world is going to end? And lets face it, lots of people are gullible, its like saying, oh if you inject liquid paper into you, you get magical powers (no you dont, so dont do it please LOL).
3)Money- think about all those shows about end world. Those shows are mostly made by the government of oh lets say USA or Canada, these have to be filtered out by the government. Now, if you really know the world is going to end, will you risk public sanity and public relations over a tv show. once again, its a capitalist feat.
