therefore ur answer is..so 2/3 is ur answer(:-Hi there!Get all the ms on the same side.How about adding 2m on both sides?Great---m is only on one side.......
solve for m ?

4m+10=14-2m

and could you explain how you got the answer plz cause i dont get how to do this. Thanka

okay so first: u wud get the m's on the one siide & the numbers on the other,
then solve for m by dividing by 6
therefore ur answer is..
u started out:
4m+10=14-2m
6m=4
m=4/6 = 2/3
so 2/3 is ur answer(:

Hi there!

4m + 10 = 14 - 2m

Get all the m's on the same side. How about adding 2m on both sides?

4m + 2m + 10 = 14 - 2m + 2m

6m + 10 = 14

Great---m is only on one side.

Let's get m by itself. How about subtracting 10 on both sides?

6m + 10 - 10 = 14 - 10

6m = 4

We're getting closer! Keep on isolating m. How about dividing 6 on both sides?

6m/6 = 4/6

m = 4/6

This can be reduced. Divide numerator-and-denominator by 2.

Final answer: m = 2/3

Solve: 4m+10=14-2m
for: m

Hope this helps!

-
Start off by adding 2m to each side so you get:
6m + 10 = 14

Then take away 10 from each side:
6m = 4

Divide both sides by 6:
m = 4/6

Therefore simplifying gives:
m = 2/3

Hope that helped,
Jake

Step one: Obtain the m's on one side, and the constants (numbers) on the other

4m + 10 = 14 - 2m

6m= 4

Step two: Solve for m, by dividing by 6

m = 4/6 = 2/3 (answer)

-
4m+10=14-2m [+2m to both sides]

6m+10=14 [-10 from both sides]

6m=4 [divide both sides by 6 to get m on its own]

m= 4/6

-
4m+2m=-10+14
6m=+4
m=4/6
m=2/3 is the anwser becahse i reduced the anwser

-
6m=4
m=4/6=2/3

-
4m + 10 = 14 - 2m
6m= 4
m= 4/6= 2/3
