What scary story am i thinking of

First of all if ur young and often have nightmares do not read

In a hilltop mansion a man murdered his wife and then hung her in a room upstairs. Many many years later three boys dared a friend to spend a night in the room she was hung in. After excepting the dare he snuck in one evening with a sleeping bag and flashlight. A few minutes After settling in the room, he heard something comething from downstairs. He listened to it for five mins he decided to get up and c what it was. The sounds took him down into the basement where he slowly walked down leaving the door open for some way to shout as he was walking towards a fireplace and felt some bones there and quickly ran upstairs and had to open it going up. Somehow the closed.
I forgot exactly how it ends. The vice principal told this at a middle school halloween party and though i ques this part he said it was a true story

I've heard that story i think but idk what its called

Sounds pretty generic.

Everybody has a story like this.

I personally believe it is a way to detour young people from trespassing.
