Answer = 11A-Well Good Luck, cheers http://giftchoice.......
What is the current passing through the 4ohms resistor?

-
equivalent resistance = 1/(1/4 + 1/6 + 1/12 ) = 2 ohms

by current divider rule,

current through 4 ohms resistor = (2/4) * 22 = 11 A

note current divider rule : current through resistance r = [R(equivalent)/ r ] * [total current]

hope it helped!!

The voltage across all 3 resistors are the same (parallel circuit).

That means IR for each 3 resistors is constant.

Calculate the equivalent resistance of all three resistors to find the voltage across them using Ohm's law.

Then you can calculate the current through each resistor.

Answer = 11A
