That is, indicate the mass of the car, and the magnitude of the force that will cause the above scenario to happen. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!-We own a honda Fit.http://en.......
You want a car to start from rest and then be traveling with a velocity of 1m/s after it has gone a distance of 0.75 meters. Give an example of a car and applied force that will cause this to happen. That is, indicate the mass of the car, and the magnitude of the force that will cause the above scenario to happen. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

We own a honda Fit. It has a mass of 1084 kg

You can look up the mass of any vehicle by googling it.

vi = 0
vf = 1 m/s
d = 0.75 m
a = ???

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2*ad
1^2 = 0 + 2 * a *0.75
1 = a*1.5
a = 1/ 1.5
a = 0.67 m/s^2

F = m* a
F = 1084 * 0.67
F = 7.23 N
