If you go into a void in space, minus fabric of space, what would happen? Would you fall or float

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-21] [Hit: ]
the fabric of space would not exist, you would be in complete an utter darkness in empty space. I was pondering this tonight, and wanted to know your views on it.-If theres no fabric of space-time then you would not be affected by gravity. You would still however be effected by other forces.......
If you go far outside of the galaxy, and into a void black and dark empty spot in space, and if the fabric of space happen to non-existent there what would happen? Would you fall? Would you float still?

Remember that in this void, the fabric of space would not exist, you would be in complete an utter darkness in empty space. I was pondering this tonight, and wanted to know your views on it.

If there's no fabric of space-time then you would not be affected by gravity. You would still however be effected by other forces. So the question is really how did you get there. If you were traveling towards this point, then once you hit this point you would still be traveling at the same speed. Don't forget Newton's laws of motion this is where the come into effect because there is no gravity or air resistance to slow you down.

If you were to somehow just magically appear there, with no movement, then you would just float there forever, unless something came and pushed you, again Newton's laws.

I think you answered your own question, think about it.

If there's nothing but "complete utter darkness in empty space", then there's no earth or planet beneath your feet right? Therefore there's nothing to fall to, no gravity to pull you in any direction.

I think your biggest problem would be, freezing to death, which would probably happen before you starve or run out of oxygene.

By any chance, were you smokin when you thought of this?
Just curious.

There is no such thing as a point in space where the fabric of space and time isn't present. The space-time fabric IS what constitutes space...
Hypothetically, nothing can exist without space and time. The question is like saying if I had a ball, and I didn't know anything about it, what color is it? There's no way to answer the question.
If you're trying to ask if you were so deep into space that there was no gravitational force acting on you, which makes a bit more sense and is what I think you were probably trying to say, then you would simply not move. Classical physics tells us that if there is no force acting on an object, it will not accelerate.
