And after it died, I pinned it to a foam bard and liquid came out (a little bit). Did I do everything right so far? Cause thats all I did. Will it be preserved?I caught it today.......
I have a butterfly and it's dead. It died in a killing jar (well, I made it, it was nailpolish remover liquid on a cotton wool in a box). And after it died, I pinned it to a foam bard and liquid came out (a little bit). Did I do everything right so far? 'Cause that's all I did.

Will it be preserved?
I caught it today. Thanks for answering.

The pin should pass through the thorax between the first pair of wings and to the right of the midline. You need to finish mounting the specimen quickly before it dries. Find detailed instructions on the web.
