Can a whale swallow a human whole

and if so could you live inside if you were wearing a scuba suit

The only whale that would be capable of swallowing a human would be a sperm whale. Blue, humpback, grey and other large baleen whales are incapable of swallowing a human being. They would choke on us. Their throats are designed to swallow some of the smallest creatures in the sea, such as plankton, krill, bottom dwelling crustaceans and small fish.

Sperm whale could, one was captured with a nearly 200 kg squid, evidently swallowed whole since sperm whale do not chew, in its stomach.

But surviving inside one, even with a scuba gear, is unlikely. Breathing requires expanding the lungs, and I would doubt someone could expand their chest against the pressure of a multi-ton whale stomach.
