Yes, you can. I have traveled there and lived there for a few months while working as a seasonal wildlife biologist. I did a bird study up there and lived in an area called Kuparuk (very close to Prudhoe Bay). You would obviously need a degree and experience to qualify for jobs like this.

Well to start is Arctic and Antarctica. As to the actual question, if the job involves traveling to the Arctic, or species who live there, well, of course. If the projects involves something like lions... then no.
