Why aren't scavengers repulsed by the scent of rotting flesh

-To be a successful scavenger you have to have a taste for rotten food. Some people like game that is high or aged, some dont. Even rotten food is nutritious in some way.......
My dad who is a bowhunter recently shot a deer. The deer smelt terrible when he cut it open. Also rotting flesh smells even worse. So why do animals who eat it not have a problem with the scent or taste?
